Often referred to as Arches Vacation Rentals, or simply “Chateau Relaxeau,” the property includes two private stays: the Arches Vineyard-View retreat, and the charming Arches Olive Grove Cottage tucked among mature olive trees. Each space is designed for comfort, privacy, and a true sense of natural beauty.

 Verified The experience at the Arches Olive Cottage exceeded our expectations! The cottage was perfect for me, my husband and our dog. It had two private outdoor patio spaces. The inside was super clean. The bed and linens were incredible! The outdoor grounds were unbelievably beautiful! There are actual old grapevines on the property. It was such a peaceful walk around the grounds with my cup of coffee and my dog. We didn’t want to leave. Jon was so nice and welcoming. Two nights is just not enough at this amazing place!  Verified Wonderful stay! We often don’t gravitate towards stays where the owner lives on the property but John’s place was even better than we imagined! Our cottage was very private and we loved that there were two fenced patios around our cottage for privacy and then if we wanted to be out and about, his land is truly beautiful and easy to walk around. John himself was very friendly and touched based before and towards the end of our stay- even came out and was sure to greet us when we arrived. We love the Sonoma area and this place is in the perfect neighborhood to feel like a local. Can’t wait to come back!

 Verified Jon was very communicative, flexible and available before and during our stay. He was both engaging and respectful of our privacy, living, as he does, on the property. The self-contained cottage included all we needed, with two private outdoor patios and easy access to the lovely shared swimming pool, surrounded by beautiful landscaping. The bedding and towels were cozy, the shower had good water pressure, and the kitchen was well-stocked (including complimentary snacks). We walked to Sonoma Plaza one night for dinner, then decided to drive the second night, as the walk was a bit long, but parking was no problem. We also walked to the local, historical winery property at the end of the street for an easy hike with a view. We would definitely return!

It is a perfect setting for a couple's romantic holiday and is convenient for travel to most wine country attractions. Jon shows extraordinary pride and care for his property, and we noticed a few upgrades from our 2024 stay (for example, a new TV in the bedroom suite). The gracefully decorated patio and pool, alongside a small vineyard, are delights on any warm day. And we especially enjoyed conversing with Jon at both check-in and check-out.  Verified Jon's Arches is a beautiful property nestled into a quiet corner of Sonoma. The location is a short walk to both Bartholomew and Buena Vista wineries, and the vibrant main town square. The pool is a great way to cool off after a hot summer day. The gardens really complete the outside aesthetic. Jon is a great host and greeted us upon arrival.  Verified We loved our stay at Jon’s. We had everything I wanted for my birthday weekend, getting to sit poolside with my love and our pup. The weather was perfect all weekend, giving us plenty of sunshine to enjoy the wonderful pool and its peaceful and beautiful surroundings. The cottage was roomy, comfy, clean, and cozy. We had everything we needed and more. We absolutely loved the king size bed that we melted into every night after a day of swimming and enjoying outings and dinner nearby. The cottage also has two private patios, great for relaxing and eating al fresco. Jon was a wonderful host, responsive, welcoming, and full of great knowledge and Sonoma history.  Verified The cottage property was fantastic. It had 2 private patios to relax on if we didn’t feel like being by the pool. The property is gorgeous with tons of flowers, strawberries, vines, and other plants. The pool area was peaceful, we only used it to lounge because it was a cooler in the mornings. It is located on a quiet street yet easy access to downtown Napa. It would be a great space to have a few couples and book the other unit. There were many thoughtful touches such as the coffee maker, french press, coffee beans, snacks and water. Jon was so thoughtful throughout our trip. We had a pretty rainy weekend, and Jon offered us umbrellas and raincoats to take with us to the winery. He also had great recommendations for places to visit in the area. As a nature lover, I especially enjoyed the local wildlife, including quail, hawks, and great horned owls you can hear at night.The location was ideal for us. We were able to walk to two nearby wineries and access surrounding hiking trails, all of which were dog-friendly—so our pup got to enjoy the trip too.
